New Blog

Good morning everyone! I am happy to announce that I have a new blog, same general idea, just a bit more professional (hopefully). I haven't posted very many times, so please give me grace, but I would love if anyone visiting my blog here would just hop over to and give me any feedback possible. Soon I won't be checking this site at all, so anyone interested should follow my other blog. Thanks so much for supporting me!

New Job

Hello all! Today I am posting an outfit that I made at my new job! I've been working there for a couple weeks, but I wanted to make sure that everything would work out before I said anything :). I am planning on writing a bit today on my I Have A Dream page, but I won't bore everyone with the details here. If you're interested, just click on the top to get to my other page. For here, I'll just explain that my job does something called "First 15" where we put together an outfit with clothing from the store. Unfortunately, this lovely practice will be the death of my wallet and I bought this outfit shortly after trying it on. For now, here's the photo and the cost of each item- enjoy!
Floral Jumper- $44
Teal Blazer- $39
Long Necklace- $16
Gladiator Wedges- $39
Handbag- $44

Dressing for Spring

Hello all! Well, I guess it's time I let the cat out of the bag and say I have a new job! I quit my last one without having a new one lined up, and had a couple weeks of unemployment. But to keep things short and sweet, I am now working at Maurices and super excited about it! The only thing I could complain about is having to somewhat change my style, but that's not always a bad thing! :) Right now we are selling a ton of coral and teal spring items, so I am trying to reflect that in my outfits. I have to say, I really love some of the merchandise we have, and I can't wait to get a little more money to go shopping! For today, I have an outfit that I normally wouldn't have worn, but I actually think is pretty cute.
Jeans- Jeggings from Maurices $29
Top- Living Doll from Von Maur, originally $30, bought for $9
Vest- Rain from Younkers, originally $40, bought for $14
Shoes- Maurices $10
Octopus Necklace- Charming Charlie $12

Floral and Fur

Good afternoon! Today is unfortunately a sick day for me. I have the Grace musical this evening, but I have been in the bed all day and am going to have to use all my strength to get there. :( Luckily the other day I had my dear husband take a few pictures of a particularly cute new outfit of mine, and I have it to share today!
Maxi Floral Dress- Target $30
Fur Vest- Target, originally $35, bought for $19 on Black Friday.
Necklace- WetSeal, originally $16, bought for $5

This outfit is pretty simple, but I love it and it makes me feel rather lovely! The fur vest is a new trend that can be a little intimidating, but with the right attitude and the right outfit, it can be absolutely adorable.

Jeans and Scarf

Hello all! Oh my goodness, I can't believe it's been almost two months since I posted! I'm so sorry- I got a new phone and everything is all out of whack- but I am back, hopefully for good. A ton in my life has changed recently, but I am still not sure where the road of my life is headed, so I'll spare the gory details for now, and share my outfit instead! I'm pretty stoked about this one, though it is from awhile ago. Here's the details-
Jeans- Kensie from Gordmans, originally $40, bought for $17
Sweater- Charming Charlie, originally $40, bought for $19
Scarf- Forever21, originally $10, bought for $5
Boots- Target, originally $45, bout for $20

I've really been digging these jeans recently, and actually saw them at a boutique recently for $88! Just a solid reminder to shop sales and to not let the store name keep you from checking out the clothes- I usually avoid clothing in Gordmans, but decided to look and found the first jeans I've loved in years! Well, hopefully everybody enjoyed this, and I'll have more outfits soon!
